Sea Trial Information Management System (STIMS)
SRC continues to support the development, maintenance,
management, and training of the Sea Trial Information Management
System (STIMS) for the Navy Warfare Development Command (NWDC),
Norfolk,, VA. SRC has supported the development of STIMS since it's
inception in 2003 as a Task under the Navy Lessons Learned Program.
Major effort from the SRC Team has been expended in the areas of
software design, testing, and implementation to ensure that the
stability of STIMS is maintained, as the system moved from an ORACLE
to an SQL Server database and transitions to .NET programming.
Under previous tasking, the Team designed the current schemas for
both the ORACLE/classic Active Server Pages and the SQL
SERVER/ASP.NET system for STIMS. This work along with other program
enhancements is continuing under the current contract. The SRC team
has an intimate knowledge of the overall Sea Trial process, the
CONOPS development enterprise, the relationship between Navy and
Joint experimentation, and the interdependence of NWDC departments
that contribute to the effectiveness of STIMS as the Sea Trial
management tool. GSA is in the
process of exercising Option 1 on SRC's Sea Trial Information
Management System (STIMS) contract, which is a web-based system to
coordinate the Navy's Sea Trial process within the Sea Power 21
concept. |
